Refuse & Recycling Collection

Borough of Edinboro municipal refuse and recycling collection is currently contracted to Tri-County Industries, Inc.   Water, sewer, refuse, and recycling are all included in the same bi-monthly bill.  The Borough is divided into two pick-up zones.  Refuse and recycling on the west side of Meadville/Erie Street is picked up every Monday.  Refuse and recycling on the east side of Meadville/Erie Street is picked up every Tuesday.  One large item is allowed each week.  Bulk pickup days are offered as follows.

December 11


Holidays that delay trash collection are New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Christmas.  Independence Day Observed, Christmas Day Observed, and New Year's Day Observed (when the holiday falls on a Sunday) does not change the collection schedule.

If your refuse and/or recycling are not picked up on time, please call the Borough office to report this issue.  Any questions or concerns regarding refuse or recycling collection should be addressed to Sarah or Lindsay at 814-734-1812.

Glass Recycling & Food Composting

Borough of Edinboro residents may recycle their glass at a drop-off facility operated by Bayfront Glass, LLC and located at the Borough Sewer Plant:

Hours of operation follow the work schedule of the Sewer Plant, 7 AM to 3 PM weekdays and 7-11 AM on Saturdays. The recycling receptacles are located just inside the fence of the Sewer Plant, pictured here.  Glass must be sorted by color in the appropriate receptacle.

The above address and hours are also applicable for our food composting service, operated in collaboration with Conservation Compost and thanks to funding from Erie County.
