SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

September 29, 2003

 

Call to Order:

Monday, September 29, 2003, regularly scheduled meeting was called to order by Mayor Caroline Rhodes at 6:30 p.m. as advertised.

 

Roll Call

The following Council members were present: Christopher Gillette, Robert Gray, Jean Davis, H. Robert Cannell, Mary Ann Horne, Paul Snyder, and Mayor Caroline Rhodes. Also in attendance was Tom Schruers, Public Works Director; Dave Zamierowski, Code Enforcement Officer and Manager E.R. “Buck” McFadden.

 

Public Participation:

Mayor Caroline Rhodes asked if anyone was interested in speaking to Council, being none she moved on to awarding of bids.

 

AWARD OF BIDS:

Scheckler Contracting      Conneaut Lake, PA  $35,300

H. Platt Co.                        Erie, PA                             $29,858

 

Robert L. Marz, AIA; Public Works Director Tom Schruers and Manager E.R. “Buck” McFadden recommended awarding window replacement bid to the lowest responsible bidder meeting specifications, H. Platt Co. 

 

Jean Davis motioned awarding the window replacement bid to H. Platt Co. for the bid price of $29,858.  H. Robert Cannell seconded the motion and it passed by 7-0 voice vote.

Bob Marz, AIA; Public Works Director Tom Schruers and Manager E.R. “Buck” McFadden recommended awarding roof replacement bid to the lowest responsible bidder McCreary.

 

Mary Ann Horne motioned awarding the roof replacement bid to McCreary for a base bid of $30,000 and alternate R-1 for $10,300 for a total bid of $40,300.  Jean Davis seconded the motion and it passed unanimously by 7-0 voice vote.

 

Being no further business, Mayor Rhodes asked for adjournment.

 

Adjournment:

            Jean Davis motioned for adjournment and the meeting was adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
